The goal for Hi-C 2.1 was to look for connection between chromospheric and coronal heating. Specifically, it was Hi-C 2.1’s goal to answer if there are coronal counterparts to type II spicules and the connection between coronal, transition region, and chromopsheric heating in active region cores.
The Principal Investigator was Dr. Winebarger/NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.
